Ludwig II von Bayern

(1845-1886). King of Bavaria, 1864-1886. A member of the Wittelsbach Dynasty, Ludwig II was more interested in Wagner than politics. A homosexual, he became increasingly eccentric and was declared insane in 1886. Shortly thereafter, he drowned along with his physician, June 13, 1886.
