| "Bring the GI's Home, March to Presidio, April 6, Free the Presidio 27," 1-3/4" Pink/Black/White Celluloid. The Presidio 27 were inmates in the military stockade at the Presidio in San Francisco. They were court-martialed for protesting the murder of an inmate by a guard on October 11, 1968. Their sentences ranged from 16 years to three months. Well-organized protests, such as the one on April 6, 1970, resulted in the release of all of the prisoners within a year and one-half of the time of their sentencing. |
