Designed by Oyun-ool Sa in 1992, the flag of Tuva represents the confluence of the Bil-Khem and Kaa-Khem rivers, forming the Ulug-Khem river at Kizil, the Capital. The white suggests the silver streamers draped over a hostess' arms as she greets guests. The yellow suggests riches and Buddhism. The light blue suggests the courage and firmness of the normadic herdsmen. |
