Robert Keith "Bob" Rae (1948-Alive)was a New Democratic Party member of the Canadian House of Commons from 1978-1982, when he became leader of the Party in Ontario. He was the 21st Premier of Ontario, 1990-1995. After suffering a loss, he resigned as leader of the New Democratic Party in 1996. In 2002 he joined the Liberals and, in 2006, he sought the leadership of the Liberal Party of Canada, finishing in third place. |
