Rabbi Meir Kahane

(1932-1990). American/Israeli Orthodox Rabbi and political leader. Founder, Jewish Defense League, 1968. Founder, Kach political party, c. 1973. Kach member of the Israeli Knesset, 1984-1985 (removed from the Knesset after his party was banned as a racist organization). Assassinated in Brooklyn by an Islamic extremist, November 5, 1990.
