(c. 1895-1900, Basra or Baghdad, Iraq-January 28, 2006, Jerusalem, Israel). Jewish Rabbi and Head Kabbalist in Jerusalem. Ultra-Orthodox Rabbi and mystic known for his devotion to Kabbalah. Emigrated to Israel. Teacher, Yeshivat Bet-El, Jerusalem, Israel. A political power in Israel. A close friend of King Hussein of Jordan and Baba Sali. His "vision" of the election of Moshe Katsav was credited with tipping the balance in his favor when he was elected President over Shimon Peres. Sometimes spelled Yitchak Kaduri or Kadouri. Believed to be between 106 and 115 at the time of his death.
