(c. 1920s, California-Alive). Christian Cartoonist. Had a conversion experience on his honeymoon, 1948. Technical Illustrator, AstroScience Corporation, El Monte, California. Published his first little comic book, "Why No Revival?" on borrowed money, c. 1960. Also wrote other tracts, such as "A Demon's Nightmare" (1962), "This Was Your Life!" (1964), and hundreds more. Founder and President, Chick Publications. Outspoken opponent of the Roman Catholic Church, homosexuality, and rock music. His controversial views have caused some of his comics to be banned in Canada as "hate" literature.
