Sri Aurobindo

(August 15, 1872, Calcutta, India-December 5, 1950, Pondicherry, India). Hindu Mystic, Philosopher, Yogi and Poet. Born Aurobindo Akroyd Ghosh. An early revolutionary leader in the movement for a free India and founder of the Jugantar Party. While imprisoned, he had visions which turned him to spirituality.
